What is Beer Bike?

Beer Bike is a relay race of alternating bikers and chuggers (10 each). The race is conducted on a specialized track located on Rice University Campus in the Greenbriar Parking lot. There is a men's (1 mile, 24 oz can), women's (2/3 mile and 12 oz can) and alumni (1/3 mile and 12 oz can) race, and each college/GSA has a team.

When does everything happen?

This year Beer Bike is March 21st and any graduate student that is interested in biking or chugging (water OR beer) is welcome to try out! Check out the FAQ and other links to learn more. If you'd like to come to a chug or bike practice, just email the captains or check the announcements and show up at the prescribed time.

In addition to our usual Friday and Saturday festivities, this year GSA will have an event every day from Tuesday through Saturday during the week before Beer Bike (Willy Week). See the Fans section for more info.

There is a campus-wide beerbike site at rpc.rice.edu/beerbike/.
